Candlelight Vigil in memoriam of Lasantha Wickrematunge

One year on:

Candle light vigil was held to remember Late Lasantha Wickrematunge. His first death anniversary was observed with flowers, lights and prayers. Journalists, Academics and Human Rights Activists gathered on January 8th 2010 at the Alexandra Place Roundabout to light a candle and remember the Former Editor of the Sunday Leader Lasantha Wickrematunge.

He was brutally killed in broad daylight while driving to his office on January 8th 2009.
